EXERCISE 2: IMAGE CHOICE

In this exercise you, will see a series of cards, like the ones below, grouped into five categories: animals, vehicles, nature scenes, time pieces and music styles. For each category, choose the image you feel best represents The Office of First Defense. Then, explain why you chose the image you did in the field provided. For example, if you chose a picture of a cat, you might explain that choice through words like “nimble,” “independent,” etc. The interpretation is completely up to you; just tell us why you picked the image you chose. Click BEGIN when you are ready.

EXERCISE 3: EMOTIONAL TRACKING

In this exercise, you will be presented with a series of 10 statements about the Office of First Defense. Please assume each statement is 100% true and that the Office of First Defense is able to deliver on each.

Look at each statement and select all of the emotions or adjectives that represent how you think each statement makes people feel. You may select as many feeling descriptors as you feel are appropriate for each statement. Please do not hesitate to repeat answers when the same feeling applies to multiple statements. We are seeking out common emotional themes so repetition is important.

If there are any additional feelings or adjectives that would describe how a statement would make people feel that are not on the list of options provided, please type them into the field provided.

EXERCISE 4: LOOKING AHEAD

In this exercise, you will be presented with a series of aspirational statements about the Office of First Defense. Select the top three choices you feel best represent what you want the Office of First Defense to be known for/as.
